Sylvia Zambrano

Bienvenidos, I hope you enjoy reading about my professional experience in the music and entertainment industry.

I am a specialist in public relations and music marketing. After finishing my university degree in Communications at the Javeriana University, one of the most prestigious universities in Colombia, I began my journey in the music industry as a radio intern, working for Todelar Estéreo, which broadcasts contemporary music in English.

Thanks to my connections in the industry, I was able to secure a job interview that would change my life forever. I was selected to be the assistant manager for one of the most important Colombian bands at that time called Sanalejo, signed by EMI Music.

Sanalejo was an influential and crucial band for pop culture in Colombia. They arrived and changed the sounds of the moment, with a pop / funk / ska style that generated a great echo in the country's music industry. Even today some of their hits are regularly heard in the media. With this musical project, we managed to break into international markets in different Latin American countries, and even received an award from the 40Principales radio station in Spain.

After this incredible project, I was hired to be in charge of international coordination and tour management for the artists signed by Marmaz Corporation, a company whose success has been recognized by the European Business Assembly and at the 59th Grammy Awards in 2016. My main responsibility was the commercialization of independent artists in countries like the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, and my beautiful Colombia, now one of the largest exporters of musical talent to the world.

Thus, stages, media agendas, music promotion and distribution strategies have always been my thing. This continued during four years living in Lima, Peru, where I was involved in the production and realisation of large-scale shows for the likes of Marc Anthony, Jose Feliciano, Vicentico and Air Supply, among others.

However, I had a dream, which was to work with music in English and to be able to discover new markets. So, following my entrepreneurial spirit and my goal of promoting musical and cultural exchange, I decided to move to Australia, the country where I have been for the last 6 years.

During this time, I have been very active in the music industry. I have participated in the most important music and networking festivals in the country including Big Sound and Australian Music Week, where I was a speaker in 2017. I have a blog about this experience if you want to check it out, it was such an adventure!

In 2018 I created and began hosting a new radio show called (360 Music Industry) for Bondi Beach Radio, continuing my connection and love for radio.

In 2019 I was recognized at the Australian Music Women Awards, an acknowledgement of my hard work and growing connections in the industry. That same year I also participated in The Great Escape in England, which was a fantastic opportunity to network and learn more about the industry in Europe.

While 2020 and 2021 have been very difficult years for all of us, I consider that God has given us a time to reflect and formulate our ideas, a time that I have dedicated to further developing this project and strengthening our capabilities in this digital world. And so, it is with great pleasure that I present to you Zambrano Agency!

So now, you can focus on creating music, we can do the rest!
